This is a remote position, but candidate must be able to attend meetings at NSWC Dahlgren VA occasionally (at contract expense).Primary Responsibilitieswriting, revising and critiquing Fiber Optic SPECS, evaluating, testing and approving new types of fiber optic equipment.provide feedback/comments/recommendations on technical document reviews; trip reports; monthly performance reports.Preferred QualificationsMaster s Degree in an Engineering discipline, or Bachelor s Degree and 10+ years of Fiber Optic Experience directly related to Naval architecture and engineering.Must be a US Citizen with and Active Secret ClearanceEast Coast location preferred, availability to access a nearby NAVY or Marine Corps installation to access an NMCI AccountTechnical expertise and demonstrated project leadership in the following:fiber optic cable plant designinstallation, and standardssurvivability and risk analysisdevelopment of system operation and maintenance requirementsexpert knowledge of the Navy maintenance community and the systems and processes employed.Demonstrated management, engineering, and communication skills to balance all efforts and provide high quality products on time and within budget are critical.A proven ability to accomplish such duties in a highly dynamic Navy environment.Original Posting Date:2024-04-25While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
