**Objective:**
The Facilities Custodians primary responsibility is ensuring the cleanliness of the manufacturing facility. We are looking for someone with great communication and organization skills for this role. You will be expected to work in a variety of settings including outdoors, in sterile labs and greenhouses. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
Facilities Custodian tasks include, but are not limited to the following list. You may be asked to perform any or all of these tasks on a given day while maintaining compliance with the New York State Regulations, Etain LLC Standards and Good Manufacturing Practices.
* Sweeping, mopping, dusting, stripping, sealing, waxing floors, vacuuming.
* Plow and shovel snow
* Waste Removal
* Garbage Removal
* Cleaning and sanitizing greenhouses
* Cleaning bathrooms
* Cleaning/wiping down kitchen/break room
**Competencies:**
* Attention to detail required
* Great communication and organization skills
* Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders
* Ability to lift 50 lbs.
**Work Environment:**
This is a manual labor position which requires versatility and attention to detail. This position operates within a manufacturing environment and requires daily use of personal protective equipment such as respirators, hair nets, gloves, and goggles.
**Qualifications:**
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Ability to use equipment and chemicals in prescribed manner
* Ability to stay alert to potential safety problems.
* Ability to carry out daily custodial checklist independently.
* Ability to get along with people of diverse backgrounds.
* Must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19
