SUMMARYThis individual will manufacture grab bars using the principals of self-balancing flow manufacturing and meet Bobrick's standard of safety, product quality, productivity and policies. Employee is also responsible for working with the team lead person with assignments and meeting the goals/objectives as directed by the Department Supervisor.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.Inspect and packBending on linePunches standoffsCarton assemblyTrim, round, washAuto peeningFlange weldingObtains and transfers stock to machine.Sets up and operates metal saw to cut and trim stainless steel tubing to dimensions.Rounds bent tubes with hydraulic vise.Trims bars after bending operation.Notches standoffs and outriggers using punch press.Observes operation of machines to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.Measures work for conformance to specifications, and to determine accuracy of machineoperation.Uses small hand tools.Makes boxes.Stacks and transports finished work pieces.Replaces defective cutting blade or wheel.Performs minor repair and maintenance.QUALIFICATIONSOne to three months related experienceand/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 60 days inproduction helper position and successful completion of training period.
