Job Description: As an Air Export Operations Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing the international air export process from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will include:
- Issuing and rating air waybills, house air waybills, and consolidations.
- Providing competitive rate quotations and negotiating pricing with vendors to ensure optimal pricing, routing, and service.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
- Coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure timely receipt and submission of all required documentation.
- Liaising between vendors, suppliers, forwarders, and agents to obtain up-to-date shipment information.
- Providing accurate updates to customers on the progress of their shipments.
- Ensuring compliance with U.S. export laws and regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in international air freight operations.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills including Outlook, Windows, Excel, and Word.
- Knowledge of domestic trucking, EEI filing, U.S. export regulations, and customer service experience.
- College degree preferred or equivalent working experience.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
