Inspectors are also responsible for overseeing operations and procedures for a company to ensure they meet production standards.Education
- Required: High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Bachelor's or associate degree in business, engineering or manufacturing.
ExperienceAt least three (3) years' experience working in a manufacturing environment.At least one (1) year of experience working as an inspector of electronic devices.Skills
- This position requires math skills and accuracy in reading prints, drawings, specifications and/or technical documents for inspection and testing material and product.
- The ability to identify various material items, to examine shipping documents, to correspond effectively and to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Company specific process and product training is provided, but a history in manufacturing or prior experience testing electrical equipment such as elevator service panels, control devices, required. The ability to read electrical schematics, and experience with entertainment lighting, power distribution or hoist motor control equipment shall be given special consideration.Working under the supervision of management typical job duties include reading prints, drawings, and technical specification documents in order to test functions of and perform inspections on in-progress and finished goods.
