- High school diploma or equivalent
Work Experience:
- At least 1 year of administrative assistant or related experience preferred
Job Duties:
- Process electronic and hard copy reports of death and records received, and attach such to case files
- Create provider contacts in case files
- Search the NYS Department of Health (DOH) death certificate database and upload copies of death certificates to mortality review cases
- Create and mail correspondence related to unit record requests
- Create and mail closure letters
- Close cases in the Justice Center's Vulnerable Persons Central Register (VPCR)
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned
- Handle confidential information appropriately
- Import/export information from Justice Center and other agency databases
- Assist with other projects and duties as needed based on emergent agency business needs
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
- Familiarity with Adobe Pro and Outlook
- Ability to quickly learn and utilize new software programs, including the Justice Center database.
- Strong attention to detail and task-oriented mindset
- Demonstrated accuracy in grammar, punctuation, and spelling
- Capability to take accurate and concise notes during meetings or discussions
Misc. Information:
- Current need is for approximately 20 hours/week, with the possibility of increased hours based on business needs.
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; 4 hours per day.
