Job Description:

Circuit is looking for an eager and skilled Fleet Technician to join our team. Youll work across local and regional departments to perform the preventive maintenance and upkeep of our vehicles in the New York region.

Job Description (including but not limited to)

  • Diagnose and perform accurately all phases of vehicle and equipment repair including the repair of brakes, suspensions, motors (EV,) drivetrains, transmission and other repairs

  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs to maximize fleet uptime while minimizing turnaround times, without compromising quality or safety

  • Create records of all maintenance work completed including parts and supplies used using fleet management software

  • Ensure work orders are completed properly and accurately using fleet management software

  • Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and monthly/quarterly/annual maintenance inspections

  • Assist with maintaining up-to-date vehicle registrations, insurance cards, and operating permits

  • Perform basic branding installation (decals & wraps), and assist with vehicle cleanliness

  • Perform installation of electrical equipment such as cameras and other accessories

  • Coordinate with Fleet Lead & Fleet Manager on a daily basis to prioritize needed repairs and execute any other fleet related responsibilities

Requirements

Relevant Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in an Automotive Service Technician role

  • 1+ years of experience in an EV service role, including diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of High Voltage powertrain systems

  • Proficiency using fleet management software (experience with Samsara/Fleetio is a huge plus)

  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt when new issues arise

  • Experience using diagnostic tools and software

  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and standardized shop equipment

  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and an ability to work within a fast-paced environment

  • Tech savvy, with a spark to learn new technologies and a deep understanding of the latest EV technologies

  • Bonus if proficient in GSuite & Slack applications

Location:

Candidates should expect to spend 5 days per week tending to fleet needs in the field and/or out of various warehouse locations. Must be willing to travel as business needs require (typically 60-80% of the time), including overnight stays. Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, overtime, and holidays on occasion.

Compensation:

Base salary is competitive and will be based on the candidate's background and experience. The candidate will be eligible for contributions to Health Care and travel expenses. After one year, the candidate will be eligible for 401k match plan and participation in employee stock option programs.

$58,500 - $70,000 annually.
