Explore the opportunities awaiting you at Reid Petroleum, where every day brings new possibilities for personal and professional growth.Primary Function We're looking for self-driven individuals to serve our customers, both internal and external, by ensuring that all fuel dispensing equipment at each fuel facility is functioning within the standards set forth by NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, Environmental Protection Agency, Weights and Measurements Departments, and Reid Petroleum. This role will be responsible for maintaining total site compliance for assigned fuel facilities. The position will be primarily located in the field; some office days are required. Duties/Responsibilities
  • Perform monthly equipment inspections at fuel facilities to ensure proper function and compliance with D.E.C., E.P.A., and Reid Petroleum's standards.
  • Perform operations and maintenance inspections on spill prevention and fuel facility equipment.
  • Monitor and record monthly cathodic protection readings.
  • Schedule repairs and/or replacements of any equipment that does not meet the standards set forth by the D.E.C., E.P.A., and Reid Petroleum.
  • Daily review of inspections performed by others at sites within the assigned territory and ensure any areas of environmental concern are repaired or replaced within designated SLA.
  • Maintain compliance standards for all sites within the assigned territory.
  • Provide on-call support for 24-hour spill response.
  • Counsel customers on proper compliance procedures.
Requirements
  • General mechanical, technical, plumbing, and electrical aptitude to troubleshoot system failures.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Innovative problem solving.
  • Ability to self-manage time and complete tasks by the deadline.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to drive long distances.
  • Ability to read, write and basic math skills.
  • Ability to follow written and oral directions.
  • Ability to withstand the effects of adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift seventy-five pounds.
  • Ability to pass DOT Physical
  • No sensory aversion to petroleum products, toxic or caustic chemicals
  • Valid NYS Driver's License that meets company policy
  • Comply with all guidelines under the Drug-Free Workplace Act
  • Comply with all guidelines under DOT regulations.
  • Travel required- position is primarily in the field
Minimum Qualifications
  • HAZWOPER 40-Hour Certification
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in related field
  • 18 years of age
  • General computer knowledge
Salary Description $19-$23/hour
