Role Details:

• Direct Hire!
• Salary: $63,000-$70,000
• Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00am-5:00pm

The EHS Safety Specialist is responsible for the Environmental, Health and Safety programs. This individual will have specific responsibility for implementation and maintenance of assigned EHS programs.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Assist with the development, evaluation, implementation and administration of EHS, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, and occupational health policies and programs
• Coach and mentor employees at all levels on safe work place behaviors
• Proactively work to identify and communicate EHS safety concerns and assist in resolving
• Collect, organize, and maintain data and records for EHS permit compliance and reporting
• Conduct, coordinate and participate in EHS inspections and audits
• Assist in the preparation and delivery of EHS training to employees, visitors, and contractors

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s Degree in science related field
• Willing to substitute education for experience
• 1-3 years of direct experience in Environmental Health & Safety; ideally in chemical field
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations; specifically, 29 CFR 1910
• General knowledge of ISO 14001; preferred
• Proficient with MS Office products
• Must be willing to travel 10-15% of the time
