Job Title: Electrical EngineerLocation: Troy, NYJob Type and Duration: Direct Placement HYBRID SCHEDULEOur client, an MEP Engineering firm, is looking to hire an Electrical Engineer to join their team in Troy, NY. The Electrical Engineer is responsible for working on technical design and construction documents for commercial building power, lighting, and special systems. Responsibilities:
- Close coordination and collaboration with different design members within the company as well as architects, owners, and facilities staff outside the company.
- Assist in the initial concept planning and review of system options.
- Perform power and lighting load calculations using applicable computer software.
- Perform selective coordination, short circuit, and arc flash calculations using SKM software.
- Work closely with equipment vendors and manufacturers' representatives for selection and specification of appropriate equipment.
- Create highly coordinated construction documents using 3D Revit MEP.
- Construction administration responsibilities including submittal reviews, construction inspections and field troubleshooting.
- Participate in weekly internal department meetings to help establish company standards, training design guides, and learn from your peers in a proven educational format.
Requirements: Qualified candidates must have knowledge of applicable codes and standards within the respective fields, as well as a desire to learn, and a drive to succeed.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 4-10 years' experience in electrical design.
- Proficiency in Revit MEP.
- PE license a plus.
