To learn more about Berry, visit Responsibilities Providesengineering, design and troubleshooting expertise for Nashville Plant Operations. Project work will improve or expand manufacturing capabilities throughout the site and/or company, increase profitability, and improve product quality. Understand AC/DC drives and programming of such drives (esp. Allen-Bradley and Siemens) Assist with day-to-day Preventive Maintenance work Be available for troubleshooting problems with production equipment Research and present economic justification of capital projects Electrical engineering and design work for capital projects and equipment revisions. Evaluate and implement the best solutions to problems associated with capital project work. Specify and purchase equipment and services needed to complete projects. Supervise and direct in-house and contracted labor to complete projects. Responsible for quality of work. Follow up projects with necessary training of plant personnel and document results. Maintain accurate and complete project records. Report activities and results monthly. Stay abreast of technology changes in our industry. Constantly increase knowledge of manufacturing processes, products, and markets. Research and address process problem solutions and improvements Become the primary source of expertise in some areas such as certain equipment affecting all plants. Interface with corporate engineers on projects in their jurisdictions and be aware of maintenance procedures and problems related to those projects. Lead engineering teams in major projects while assuming responsibility for overall project success. Assist in career development of less experienced team members. Participate / lead continuous improvement activities. Perform similar and related duties as required. Qualifications Education and/or Experience: A four year engineering degree, preferably BSEE. Equivalent experience may be suitable. Five years of electrical engineering experience is required. Able to design control systems using the most appropriate technologies and troubleshoot electrical manufacturing systems to determine and resolve root cause problems. Demonstrated capability to take major engineering projects from the conceptual stage to completion.
