Territories Available: New York & Eastern Pennsylvania

Geographic Territory: Central NY, Eastern PA

Job Summary: Integrated Systems Technologies (IST) is a leading educational technology supplier in Ohio, Michigan, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Our mission is to help schools empower students for careers in robotics, automation, and engineering by providing industry-relevant training hardware, curriculum, and software.

IST is actively seeking an educational sales consultant in the Central/Eastern NY and Eastern PA territories.

The educational sales consultant would be responsible for growing this region by actively engaging with educational and workforce development institutions to promote and sell training solutions to meet the customer s needs.

Ideal candidate is passionate about building the future workforce, and has an appreciation for skilled trades. Existing experience in either the education sector or manufacturing/automation/engineering sector is ideal, but not required.

Bring industry leading and cutting edge technology to the classroom to equip the future workforce with the skills and credentials needed to succeed in an ever changing technology focused job market.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prospects customers within regional territory and target market
  • Services existing accounts and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily schedule
  • Responds to sales leads as appropriate to territory
  • Prepares customer quotes and proposals
  • Consults with all levels within an educational institution (Presidents, Superintendents, Directors, Deans, Instructors)
  • Professionally communicates with suppliers and distribution partners
  • Attends trade shows as applicable to the territory
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending manufacturer training
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Spend at least three-four days per week out of the office calling on customers and working in classrooms/labs.
  • Service after the sale, including assisting with initial install. Additionally, working alongside the service team to accommodate follow up customer service requests
  • Successfully meets and exceeds sales goals set forth
  • Familiar with Social Media Channels, primarily LinkedIn. Actively engaged in the promotion of projects and our manufacturing partners / suppliers.

Qualifications/Skills/Requirements:

  • Customer Service-Minded, Service First
  • Excellent interpersonal, professional communication, and compelling presentation skills
  • Self-directed, able to work independently and handle multiple projects concurrently to function in a fast paced, high growth environment
  • Technical aptitude and willingness to learn; Willing to work with your hands
  • Familiarity using a CRM & MS Office Products, Basic Computer Literacy Skills
  • B2B Sales Experience, preferably with technology-based products/solutions
  • Willingness to travel; overnight stays for long visits and tradeshows/trainings
  • Valid reference from 1-2 previous employers
  • Valid Driver s License and Insurance
  • Ability to work in a EDU / School environment

Education:

  • 2-year or 4-year degree, Business Administration and/or Engineering/Technology-Based degree preferred
  • High School Diploma with related work experience and/or certifications & credentials

Hiring Timeline:

Interviews and potential candidates will be reviewed from April-May selected candidates would start in late Spring / early summer, various trainings over the Summer, and start in the field late Summer to early Fall.

Candidates will start with 1-2 virtual interviews, and 1 onsite interview at IST HQ.

Initial months of employment will require more travel outside of territory to HQ and various partners for training and onboarding.
