Leading Private Early Childhood Education Center seeks Educational Director (with NY State Teaching Certificate Birth 2 years or 1-6, or ability to obtain) and 2-3+ years early childhood teaching experience along with 1-2+ years leadership or management experience in an educational setting plus strong background in curriculum implementation experience - to be the educational Director for the center, responsible for leading planning and implementation of curriculum, supervising, supporting and developing teachers and administration team, lead staff training and hiring, work closely with parents, manage building operations and administration, and ensure compliance with Department of Education/ DOH policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will be a driven and passionate early childhood educator, with previous teaching experience combined with management and strong leadership qualities, and a passion for delivering a safe, nurturing and best in class educational environment where children develop a life-long love of learning.

Responsibilities include:

• Understanding and implementing current curriculum, ensuring early education center meets all educational goals.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and partnerships with both the teachers and parents.
• Conducting formal and informal teacher observations and teacher development meetings.
• Overseeing student assessments.
• Manage daily operations of the center, ensuring all policy and procedures are met, adhering to all DOH regulations.
• Supervision of students and staff.

Requirements:

• New York State Teaching Certification: Birth 2nd or Grades 1-6
• Master s Degree preferred, minimum BA.BS Degree in Early Childhood Education
• Minimum 2 years classroom experience with children under 6 years-old
• Leadership experience preferred
• Strong computer, verbal, and written communication skills
