We re currently hiring a Manager to support our streaming client s Audience Development within their Editorial segment. The team is deeply embedded within the broader Audience Development scope, integrating closely with CRM and other related functions. As the Editorial Strategy and Planning Manager, you will be responsible for curating content, leveraging product tools, and collaborating with the product team to enhance user engagement and retention on the platform.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute editorial strategies to engage and retain client s audience, utilizing manual merchandising techniques and product tools
Collaborate closely with the product team to ensure content is featured prominently and tailored to target audiences, leveraging segmentation and personalization algorithms
Drive awareness and visibility of content on the platform through strategic placement and testing methodologies
Analyze viewing habits and performance data to inform content placement and enhance user experience
Work in partnership with cross-functional teams to test and implement new features and strategies aimed at optimizing audience engagement
Make data-backed decisions to drive segmentation capabilities and enhance CRM and promotional efforts
Act as a liaison between the editorial and product teams, facilitating communication and alignment on strategic initiatives
Help solidify relationships between the editorial and product teams, advocating for the integration of editorial strategy into product development processes
Requirements:
3+ years of direct experience within Platform Merchandising, Editorial Strategy and/or Product Marketing, within Media/Entertainment/Streaming
Bachelor's degree in a related field; Marketing, Analytics, Data Science
Previous experience in product management or content strategy/scheduling preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
Experience working with project management tools, Airtable preferred
Familiarity with Tableau or similar data visualization tools
Strong managerial skills with the ability to lead and empower a diverse skilled team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and self-starting approach
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision
