Job Description: Job Description Summary:Onondaga Community College seeks adjunct instructors qualified to teach Economics courses. This is a continuous recruitment process and will be filled as needed.Major Responsibilities:-Prepare and present lectures;-Meet with students as needed to answer questions;-Respond to student queries (e.g. email or voice mail) as needed, in a reasonably timely manner;-Write, administer, and grade all student assignments and exams;-Compute grades and submit them on time.
Requirements: Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Economics or related field from a regionally accredited college or university and
- One (1) year of college teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. in the subject area is preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish. (English and another language will be considered.)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Product suite.
Additional Information: Academic year 2023-2024 pay rate is $1,371 per credit hour; 3-credit hour classes are $4,113.Position will teach at the North Campus in Liverpool or the Main Campus.
