Role: Director - Corporate and B2B Communications

Location: New York

Hybrid: 1-2 days per week in office

Our client is an exceptional strategic communications agency with an established office in London and a recently launched office in New York City. They focus within corporate and B2B communications and boast an impressive client list across technology, energy, education and wider corporate sector. Clients range from disruptive startups to global blue chips.

This is an exciting and career defining opportunity for a Director level candidate to be the most senior person in the US business, reporting directly to the co-Founders. You will serve as a key leader in the business both on the client side as the main point of contact, internally as a mentor and manager to the growing team, and managing the development of the business. Proactivity, resilience, steadfastness and accountability are key pre-requisites.

You will be responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day execution of multi-pronged communications plans for a variety of B2B clients across industries including technology, energy, education and finance.

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to work with established brands, early-stage startups and proven entrepreneurs. Furthermore, as one of key people in the US operation there is ample opportunity for growth, and the ability to make a tangible impact on the development of the business. You would have a seat at the table from day one, including input on hiring decisions, strategic direction, leadership and would work closely with the companys founders.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Between 7-8 years of experience in public relations or communications related field within a fast-paced and growing agency environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering great work for clients, including developing and executing successful PR campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Proven record of new business wins and organic account growth (upselling clients and securing additional budget).
  • Experience working across an array of clients and industries a self-described B2B generalist is strongly preferred.
  • Passionate and excited about working at a startup agency and helping it to grow in size and client-scope.
  • Established relationships with journalists (preferably national outlets).
  • Excellent communication skills, including strong writing and presentation abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in mentoring and training junior staff members.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, media, and other stakeholders.
  • Preferred experience in the following industries: technology, finance, energy and education sectors.

FINE PRINT:

  • Salary: $130,000 - 150,000 annual salary (based on experience and skillset)
