Our agency provides bespoke marketing solutions such as search engine optimization and PPC for small and medium sized businesses. We offer marketing services for a wide range of industries and verticals including local retail, e-commerce, and lead generation. We ve helped everyone from attorneys and dentists, to national brands like electronics manufacturers and retailers. We have a proven track record of designing and optimizing websites that drive revenue and measurable results for our clients.

The Role:

As the Director of SEO, you will lead a dedicated team of two full-time SEO specialists responsible for managing approximately 25-30 client accounts.

Your role extends beyond merely supervising; you'll be actively engaged in managing select client portfolios while primarily focusing on ensuring the consistent, high-quality delivery of our suite of client services.

You'll be expected to have direct involvement with at least half of our agency's total client roster, collaborating closely with another director responsible for the remaining accounts. Leadership duties include conducting weekly team meetings and bi-weekly individual touchpoints, all aimed at fostering the SEO development of each team member.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a successful history of developing and implementing impactful SEO strategies for clients, with additional experience in PPC being highly regarded.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Subject-matter Mastery-level SEO experience
  • Mentor/coach level team management, with a preference for those experienced in leading remote teams
  • Exceptional communication, writing, and presentation skills
  • Upholds a high level of professionalism
  • An enthusiastic participant in the SEO community, with a demonstrated interest in continuous learning
  • Comprehensive understanding of SEO, including technical, on-page, and off-site strategies
  • Proficiency in utilizing major SEO tools, such as Moz, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMRush, and Majestic
  • Adept at engaging with both high-level clients and internal team leaders

Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective team leadership through regular check-ins and goal setting
  • Support our annual retention goals for clients under you and your teams oversight
  • Join many of your teams calls to form relationships with clients in order to support retention
  • Continually refine and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), while also developing new processes
  • Drive content strategy initiatives and collaborate with content creators to ensure top-tier service delivery
  • Support the CEO in expanding the business by conducting audits, presenting to prospective clients, preparing contracts, and managing client communications
  • Oversee daily SEO tasks for client accounts as required, including day to day management of at least one account
  • Stay abreast of industry trends by committing to ongoing professional development
  • Spearhead the development and implementation of training programs for team members
  • Play a crucial role in formulating SEO strategies across our diverse client base
