This **Director of Retail Sales** will be the first full-time sales hire and report directly to the GM of CPG. This position will have oversight of all sales activities across brick-and-mortar retail and serve as our primary touchpoint with key retail accounts. This role will set the strategic plan to grow Momofukus retail presence and execute against the following responsibilities: account management, new product launch plans, in-store marketing and trade programs, forecasting, data analysis.

**Responsibilities**

* Build a retail sales infrastructure, including distributors, brokers, and additional sales resources; foster current and future buyer and broker relationships

* Design and execute against a go-to-market plan to scale our presence in brick-and-mortar retail

* Manage relationships with key accounts to achieve velocity, sales, and growth targets and maintain in-store stock levels

* Work with retail buyers on all possible levers to increase velocities and secure optimal placements

* Develop and implement promotional schedules

* Create and maintain a sales forecast by account; develop a set of key performance indicators and track success against metrics while managing against overall company goals and financial objectives

* Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure alignment on supply needs

* Collaborate with Finance to ensure alignment on profitability targets, measure trade promotions (ROI and volume lifts), and review performance against plan

* Collaborate with Marketing on merchandising, field marketing, and brand positioning

* Prepare sell sheets, sales decks, and other materials to support in pitch efforts; lead trade show approach and management

* Leverage market data to benchmark performance against category and competitors

**Skills & Requirements**

* 5+ years of CPG sales management experience

* Experience in a startup company, a plus

* Track record of landing new grocery accounts, growing doors within accounts, and improving velocity per store

* Excellent organization, communication, and problem solving skills

* Collaborative individual who thrives in a self-starter environment, is professional yet approachable, has clear leadership & influence skills, and thinks creatively but logically.

* Strong relationships/experience with retailers

* Understanding of analytics landscape, role of measurement in an organization and hands-on experience with measurement tools

* Comfortable in ambiguous situations and confident in their decision making without all the information

* Adaptable, proactive and highly opportunistic.

**Physical Demands**

* The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
