Job Overview - Property Director

Join our esteemed client's team as a Property Director and take on a pivotal role in overseeing property management operations, facilities management, and related functions. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional to lead a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our client's organization.

Location: Rockland County, NY Onsite

Compensation: $200,000.00 - $210,000.00 + bonus

Responsibilities as the Property Director include:

  • Oversee the East Coast Property portfolio including its Facilities Department, Construction, and Conference Centers, providing leadership and guidance to a team of 30+ individuals.
  • Deliver expert property management services, including the purchase, sale, leasing, construction, renovation, and major maintenance of company properties.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for property management and facilities operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish property management policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Lead the development and management of property budgets, forecasts, and capital improvement plans, optimizing resources and maximizing operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a liaison with tenants, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders, fostering positive relationships and addressing issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments of company properties, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide guidance and support to property management staff, promoting professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes, leveraging insights to inform decision-making and drive business performance.

Qualifications of the Property Director include:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Technical: Construction or Engineering/Architecture.
  • 10+ years of progressive multi-site experience in the Property Management industry, preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Strong understanding of non-profit operations and the unique challenges and opportunities they present.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of effectively managing teams and achieving results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute plans to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
