A healthcare services organization in New York City is currently seeking an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their staff as their new Director of Nursing - Ambulatory Care Services. In this role, the Director of Nursing - Ambulatory Care Services will be responsible for nursing practice oversight by organizing and leading the delivery of nursing care for designated patient care areas. Responsibilities: The Director of Nursing - Ambulatory Care Services will be responsible for:
- Analyzing clinical practice and identifying opportunities to increase quality, safety, effectiveness and efficiency within Primary and Specialty Care
- Identifying clinical indicators to measure, evaluate ad improve care
- Maintaining compliance with all clinical policies, procedures and regulations
- Supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and other healthcare providers who deliver nursing care
- Developing and analyzing options, recommending solutions to and solving complex problems and issues
- Developing and implementing innovative systems and processes that improve staff and patient quality and safety
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in Nursing Administration
- Master's Degree in Nursing Administration or an equivalent field
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- ACLS/ BLS Certifications
- Experience in a Hospital and/or Clinic setting
- Experience in a Management and/or Supervisory role
