Position Overview
Join a nonprofit organization that is one of the world's leading dance companies, providing performances and programs rich in culture and heritage. As the Director of Major Gifts and Individual Giving, you will be responsible for leading the organizations individual strategy including developing and implementing strategies to maintain and increase revenue from individual donors while managing a team of 4 direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Manage an individual giving team responsible for meeting annual contributed revenue goals
- Supervise and cultivate staff members to meet their individual goals in service of the team s fundraising plans
- Develop and implement strategies for the research, stewardship, and solicitation of donors and prospects
- Create and implement a strategy for the major gifts program and donor pipeline
- Conduct research into the organization s current individual donors to determine opportunities for increased giving potential
- Create cultivation events and other opportunities to engage individual donors and build relationships
- Solicit contributions from individuals with the goal of growing major donor programs
- Oversee plans to quantify individual giving and special events moves management and outcome goals
- Ensure the production of written and online fundraising collateral and maintain the integrity of the organization s messaging and case for support
- Align the organization's fundraising with programmatic priorities
Qualifications
- 10+ years of successful fundraising experience, with emphasis on individual giving
- An effective communicator, with strong oral and written skills
- Excellent attention to detail, strong organization skills, and time management
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining deadlines
- Oversee a team of fundraisers responsible for all aspects of individual giving
- Responsible for the cultivations and stewardship of the organizations individual major donor program
- Experience building and sustaining relationships both internally and externally
- Proven experience affecting change in a complex organization and converting strategy into effective execution
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented work environment
- Display the utmost level of integrity
- Passion for the mission and values of the organization
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce
Compensation
- Salary: $150,000-$170,000
