Voted Glassdoor's Employee Choice Awards - Best Places to Work in 2021, This is R/A !Job Summary The Director of Dining Services position is an exciting opportunity for an energetic foodservice manager looking to grow their career.Reporting to the multi-unit Director of Dining services, you will oversee a single locations with a large conference center. You will manage a team of 3 managers and up to 10 hourly staff.This position is primarily Monday through Friday with daytime and evening hours (up to 3 evening events per week in our busiest season). You will work with great clients in a beautiful building directly across from Grand Central Station. With a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, this is an ideal opportunity to join the R/A team and culture of CARE!Key Responsibilities:Ensure the successful day-to-day operations of an accountManage a team of salaried and hourly staff associatesEnsure financial success of the accountInterview, hire, and train associates; plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines associates; addresses complaints and resolves problemsUtilize company systems for completion of required daily/weekly/monthly reports such as inventory, cash reports, production records, payroll/time-keeping, etc.Oversee and participate in the preparation and service of food and beverage items in adherence to company food standards for preparation, presentation, sanitation and safety (meeting HACCP and OSHA guidelines) and portion controlOther duties as assignedPreferred Qualifications:B.S. Degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field; or A.A.
