Overview:
The Director of Data Solutions defines the strategic direction, leads the software and data warehouse architecture team, and develops/enhances/maintains the business applications & reports that support the goals and operations of the enterprise.

Responsibilities:
Team Leadership
- Hire, develop, evaluate, reward, and retain a highly qualified team of data engineering and software development professionals.
- Foster a culture of innovation, transparency, and accountability.
- Develop, track, and control the annual staffing and operational budgets of the Data Solutions Department.
Software & Data Warehouse Leadership
- Identify opportunities and develop business case justifications, risk analysis, and cost/benefit analyses for software development and data warehouse initiatives.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of the data warehouse platform, reporting, and analytical systems to ensure that they support the operational and strategic utilization of enterprise and departmental data.
- Manage vendors' delivery and performance that provides SaaS functionality such as MediSked and Microsoft Dynamics
- Manage all software and data warehouse development phases, including the requirements, design, implementation, system integration, testing, quality assurance, and deployment.
- Define, acquire, and allocate resources necessary to accomplish the goals and/or objectives and monitors performance across resource channels.
- Continually evaluate new software development methodologies for improvements in the efficiency and delivery of business solutions.
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business Administration.
- 7+ years of technical leadership experience with gradually increasing responsibilities.
- 5+ years of experience managing enterprise software and data development and deployment.
- 5+ years of experience in cross-functional team management.
- Expertise in all software development life cycle phases, including database and application design, development, testing, and deployment.
- General understanding of programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or Javascript
- Experience using multiple software development and design methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and UML, and tools like JIRA.
- Experience with database platforms such as Oracle or SQL Server.
- Experience managing SaaS vendors, ensuring the vendors product development roadmap meets future business objectives.
- Expertise in data protection and privacy laws and practices, specifically HIPAA.
Preferred
- Masters degree in computer science or business administration.
- 10+ years of technical experience with gradually increasing responsibilities.
- 7+ years of experience managing enterprise software development and deployment.
- 7+ years of experience in cross-functional team management.
- Experience managing healthcare software platforms or applications in a healthcare environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
