Role Description

As the Director of Capital Markets, your day-to-day tasks will include managing and overseeing financial transactions, analyzing market trends, negotiating deals, and providing strategic guidance to clients. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Based in New York and Shanghai ARC offices and interacting closely with HQ and the global offices of ARC Group. This role will take care of the execution of the cross-border deals for ARC Clients. Reporting directly to CEO based in Shanghai.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement:

  • Assist clients in understanding SPAC, Pre-IPO or Traditional IPO processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and objectives, and providing tailored execution solutions.

Transaction Management:

  • Oversee and support the entire transaction process, from IPO term sheet creation to the preparation of financial statements.
  • Ensure timely and efficient execution while adhering to regulatory requirements and company policies.

Project Management Lead:

  • Manage the whole process of at transaction, commencing from LOI stage to closing
  • Participate in client meetings and lead the negotiation support during transaction process
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, trading, research, and compliance teams, to drive synergies and optimize execution strategies.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory developments, and industry best practices, providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior management.

Capital Market Team Internal Communication:

  • Lead and mentor a team of execution professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure high performance and continuous development.
  • Drive innovation and process improvement initiatives within the execution team to enhance efficiency, scalability, and client satisfaction.

Vendor Coordination:

  • Introduce and coordinate with service vendors, including auditors, legal teams, underwriters, transfer agents, and insurance brokers.
  • Maintain continuous communication with all parties, facilitating smooth payments and documentation alignment.

Report Generation and Analysis:

  • Generate necessary investigative reports and data analyses for clients, covering registration statements, competitive advantages, industry overviews, etc.
  • Participate in all essential client meetings, offering timely assistance in response to regulatory developments.

External Communication:

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, promoting our brand and capabilities within the capital markets space.

Qualifications

1. Minimum 5+ years of relevant investment banking experience with a focus on execution;

2. Significant client interaction and experience, particularly showing the ability to develop strong and influential client relationships;

3. Proven track record of success in managing complex transactions and client relationships.

4. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

6. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and entrepreneurial culture that promotes diversity and growth.

7. Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree preferred.

8. Willing to explore China market opportunities.
