Job Description:

The Digital Media Specialist will be responsible for creating content for the schools website and social media accounts, implementing the school social media plan, managing the schools live streaming of events. This position reports directly to the Director of Technology.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the Director of Technology, and other designated departments to identify opportunities to promote Schechter Queens via social media and live stream.

• Create and update content on the school's website.

• Maximize engagement on social and new media channels, producing weekly content (including videos) for use in the digital space.

• Attend and live stream various school events as directed by the school administration or other designated departments.

• Ability to adapt new and emerging social media platforms and determine best practices for Schechter Queens.

• Tracking ROI and KPIs

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, organization, and attention to detail.*

• Bachelors degree in Communications, Media, Journalism, or related field preferred.

• Experience within a Jewish Day School setting is preferred.

• Availability to work outside of regular school hours when necessary to attend events.

• Experience with social media management across various platforms, digital and video content creation, media and brand cultivation.

• Ability to communicate concise, meaningful, timely information to a variety of audiences.

• Ability to effectively engage with large and small groups of students and adults.
