Please apply to learn more about the benefits of working for the CIA.POSITION SUMMARYThe Digital Assets Specialist is responsible for maintaining the digital asset management system that supports the entire college's marketing, communications and photo/video sharing.The Digital Assets Specialist is responsible for gathering and properly preparing a high volume of current and legacy CIA multimedia assets from all campuses for upload into the college's digital asset database.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Source archived photos/videos for internal and external customers.
  • Coordinate, vet, prepare and ingest a high volume of photo/video assets (both new and historical).
  • Conduct asset searches for strategic communications needs.
  • Maintain and improve the archive of photos and videos.
  • Coordinate with photographers and videographers to upload new assets in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Assist with managing permissions for and training new users on system.
  • Maintain the system by reviewing assets for relevance and keeping data updated.
  • Ensure asset guidelines and uploaded assets meet archival standards.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation:
  • Bachelor's degree in Asset Management, Archiving, Library Science or related area of study.
Experience:
  • One (1) year related experience working with an image database.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of Widen digital asset management system.
  • Knowledge of foodservice and hospitality industries and respective terminology.
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Ability to manipulate photos by color-correcting, cropping, etc.
  • Ability to research background for and write relevant metadata (titles, descriptions, keywords, etc.) for assets to be uploaded into the system.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Ability to work in Adobe products and/or Lightroom for color management, digital file properties, color correcting and light retouching.
  • Proficiency in Macintosh and PC cross-platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently or in a team environment, and maintain collaborative relationships with all members of the Marketing team.
  • Demonstrated organizational, time management, prioritization and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of photo copyright laws.
  • Strong understanding of digital asset management systems, meta data schemas, taxonomies, controlled vocabulary, file naming conventions, search and IPTC and XMP data. Ability to apply unique taxonomy, meta data, and controlled vocabularies to assets.
  • Understanding of photography.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Must be available to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required due to business needs.
  • Regular work requires use of a computer for periods in excess of eight (8) hours per day.
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
