This is an excellent opportunity to gain real-world work experience, learn how varying departments interface and develop foundational skills to help you enter the fashion world after you graduate. Must be able to be on-site in NYC headquarters located in Meatpacking. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Women's Design team to initiate concepts for each season that are reflective of the brand ethos and tenants.
  • The design intern should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse group at all levels.
  • We are looking for someone with stellar organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-up.
  • The design intern should be able to handle multiple projects with different deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • The intern will assist the men's team with developing seasonal concepts, through sketching, mockups and image research
  • Organize seasonal design binders and boards to update throughout the season
  • Create detailed sku guides and color-up files in illustrator and photoshop
Requirements:
  • You are enrolled in and working towards a BFA/BS in Fashion Design, Textile/Surface Design, Technical Design or other related major.
  • You can get credit from your school or college for the internship.
  • Technical Design understanding and application.
  • Digital and hand sketching skills.
  • Strong organizational skills are a must. Must know how to prioritize daily and ongoing tasks and be able to see 'bigger picture' of the day to day.
  • Must be proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft office (word, PowerPoint, excel...)
  • You are a team player with a positive attitude who can thrive and take initiative in a fast-paced work environment.
