About the Work manages capital projects from idea to occupancy. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
You are an energetic, committed Capital Project Manager with a passion for engaging clients, coordinating design teams, managing contractors, and building community to actualize buildings and landscapes.
Responsibilities will include strategic management and coordination of the project team, project schedule & budget management, and client support. The Project Manager will be supported by and report to About the Work s senior team.
You are:
- An experienced design or construction professional
- A strategic thinker and manager of project and client teams
- Able to support strong relationships with clients, anticipate challenges and execute solutions for the benefit of those clients
- Excellent at effectively communicating with clients and co-workers
- Organized and diligent about performing project compliance tasks including insurance reviews, requisition, and invoice review and approval
You have:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in architecture, engineering, construction management, or owner s representation practices
- Experience in coordinating large design/consultant teams and contractors
- Onsite construction or construction administration experience
- Great presentation and meeting management skills
- An understanding of all moving parts for complex capital projects and willingness to expand knowledge of industry and vendor relationships
- Creative problem-solving skills
- The ability to identify potential challenges and problems and utilize expertise to create actionable solutions
Location:
We are a collaborative office that values in-person interaction. Project managers should expect to be in the office up to 5 days a week.
Salary Range:
$80,000 - $120,000
