Selby Jennings is partnered with a leading Investment Bank here in NYC that has served clients across North America, EMEA & APAC for almost 20 years. They provide strategic advice & solutions to corporations, governments and financial sponsors. Their experienced professionals advise clients on their most critical decisions, including M&As, recapitalizations and restructurings, capital markets transactions, and other corporate finance matters.

As such, the team is searching for a new Data Steward to join their Business Management team full-time. On a high-level, this individual will be responsible for supporting new business review committee operations as well as day-to-day data management activities. The Business Management function oversees various aspects of a firm's operations, including strategy and development, franchise management, banker resource management, reporting and analysis, and business data management. This role offers insight into Investment Banking operations by participating in transaction opportunities. Responsibilities include maintaining the CRM database, & processing transaction-related data updates.

The role will be based in New York City on-site with remote flexibility on Fridays. Depending on experience, compensation will range from $65,000 - $80,000 basic salary, with a discretionary bonus.

Responsibilities:

Assist New Business Review Committee Operations:

  • Attend new business review calls, update deal records, and ensure accuracy of submission materials
  • Direct new business calls when needed and update deal records accordingly

Support day-to-day data management activities:

  • Manage shared data inbox and enforce data management policies
  • Assist in new deal and company creation processes, and deal closure procedures
  • Process engagement letters and internal transaction announcements
  • Handle ad hoc data updates and projects as required

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree required, with 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong interest in learning Investment Banking Advisory business
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and adapt quickly to changing needs
  • Detail-oriented, conscientious, and hardworking
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
