This opportunity is with a top tier financial institution that is a private credit fund manager specializing in real estate and structured loans. The institution is looking for a Data and Technology Strategy Lead to join our Manhattan-based team. As the Data and Technology Strategy Lead, core responsibilities will encompass:

  • Conducting comprehensive evaluations and optimizations of technology and operational workflows throughout the organization.
  • Overseeing the implementation of cutting-edge systems, applications, infrastructure enhancements, and vendor partnerships to elevate our operational efficiency.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, internal IT teams, external IT service providers, cybersecurity experts, and various technology vendors.
  • Maintaining and continually improving the firms key portfolio management database, which plays a pivotal role in originations, underwriting, asset management, analytics, and reporting.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to cybersecurity standards and actively enhancing our security posture.
  • Crafting and executing data and analytics strategies that inform investment decisions, including the development of customized investment models and analytical reports spanning real estate debt and equity.
  • Exploring and integrating new data sources from external vendors and public repositories, merging them with proprietary datasets to fuel qualitative and quantitative research. Maintaining an unwavering commitment to data integrity and standardization.
  • Complying with office policies regarding 5 days a week in-office work requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of eight years of pertinent experience in both technology and financial services.
  • Background in computer science, finance, accounting, private credit/equity, real estate, or business.
  • Proficiency with portfolio management software, Python, and SQL Preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficiency in various software tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Tableau.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced financial analytical capabilities and a talent for strategic thinking.
  • Strong logical reasoning and data analysis skills.

This opportunity will offer a competitive base salary and performance-based bonuses. The base salary for this position falls within the range of $130,000 to $160,000 per year. The specific compensation package will be determined based on the qualifications of the selected candidate at the time of hiring. Additionally, employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, contingent upon their annual performance reviews.
