Overview: As a Senior Cybersecurity and Network Monitoring Strategist, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization's digital assets. This position requires a strategic approach to cybersecurity, comprehensive knowledge of network monitoring practices, and a commitment to maintaining the integrity and security of our IT infrastructure, while ensuring compliance with various regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cybersecurity Strategy: Develop and implement an all-encompassing cybersecurity strategy, including policies to protect digital assets.
- System and Network Security: Design, secure, and continuously monitor IT systems, networks, and applications. Vigilantly monitor network traffic, system logs, and security alerts for potential threats.
- Network Monitoring: Implement advanced network monitoring techniques to identify and respond to network anomalies, unauthorized access attempts, and potential security breaches.
- Access Management: Manage user access, ensuring only authorized individuals have appropriate permissions. Implement multi-factor authentication and robust password policies.
- Vulnerability Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate vulnerabilities in software, hardware, and configurations. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Incident Response and Recovery: Develop and maintain an incident response plan to effectively handle security incidents and data breaches. Ensure robust recovery strategies are in place.
- Compliance and Audit Management: Guarantee compliance with cybersecurity regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001). Lead regulatory, internal, and external audits.
- Security Assessments: Conduct thorough security assessments, code reviews, and testing on applications and systems.
- Infrastructure Security: Install, support, and maintain security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs. Diagnose and solve complex issues under time constraints.
- Policy Enforcement and Management: Manage and configure firewall/security systems, establish and enforce policies, and define and monitor access.
- Log Analysis: Collect, maintain, and analyze log data for security insights.
- Backup Compliance: Adhere to backup retention policies and procedures as per regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Proven experience in cybersecurity strategy, implementation, and network monitoring.
- Extensive knowledge of IT and network security, including experience with network monitoring tools and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Network+) are highly desirable.
