RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:Job DescriptionThe primary role of a SurvivorSupport Financial Planner is to participate in training, focus on developing strong technical and counseling skills and provide technical assistance to SurvivorSupport Advisors and clients. The CST Planner position is a multi-faceted role that requires the associate to be able to address matters of both financial and legal nature.

Responsibilities

Educate and assist clients in making prudent financial planning decisions; Receive phone calls from clients; collaborate with SurvivorSupport advisors to follow up on outstanding client questions and clarify company-specific benefit plan information; Facilitate discussions or flow of information between individual clients, client company contacts and/or 3rd party benefit administrators; Assist in the preparation various financial exhibits modeled through online tools, including cash flow, retirement planning, education funding, and investment planning; Follow up on client issues reported via the customer service number or email inbox Assist with/complete client meeting prep for counseling team; Verbal and written communication with corporate clients regarding employee benefits and procedural issues as necessary; Review Summary Plan Descriptions to research benefits related to death disability, or employee termination; Review state law changes to update state estate settlement summaries as needed Train to eventually Conduct SurvivorSupport meetings with individual clients (in-person and via telephone), and prepare Personal Financial Plans, including standard form reports as appropriate; Attend company-wide and SurvivorSupport technical meetings and trainings; Perform other SurvivorSupport or Planning related tasks as assigned by the SurvivorSupport Management Team or other Planning supervisors. Qualifications Four-year degree, preferably in finance, accounting, business, tax or other areas related to financial planning. Advanced degree preferred NASD Series 7 and Series 66 preferred, required within 4 months of start date; Enthusiastic and positive approach to problem-solving and client service, tempered with patience, compassion, empathy & understanding; Superior written and verbal communication skills; Excellent relationship-building skills; Ability to function well in a collaborative/team environment; Self-starting ability to multi-task and manage time effectively; Advanced PC skills, with proficiency in Windows-based programs; Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality; Innovative thought processes and pro-active time management and task completion follow-through.
