Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000

Position Summary:

As an Entry Writer II, you will ensure timely and accurate submission of customs entries for inbound cargo clearance through US Customs, while prioritizing customer satisfaction. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and strong customer service skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and process documentation for CBP release of shipments.
  • Adhere to SOPs for accurate entry preparation and data submission.
  • Classify products according to HTSUSA and identify those subject to PGAs.
  • Maintain task list to monitor entry status throughout CBP process.
  • Identify and report routine and non-routine transactions accurately.
  • Meet KPIs for Import operations and manage customs issues.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders to resolve shipment delays.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and management regarding urgent shipments.
  • Track and trace shipments, coordinating with carriers and freight forwarders.
  • Manage accounting processes related to CHB, including invoicing and payment requisitions.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED, with 2-5 years of entry writing or customs brokerage experience.
  • Proficiency in US Customs regulations and Harmonized Tariff Codes.
  • Familiarity with Free Trade Agreements.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

Preferred:

  • IATA Dangerous Goods Certificate.
  • Experience with Cargowise.
