We are growing and looking to add a **Customer Service Export Compliance Specialist** to our team.

**Primary Role:**

Serves as the Corporate business administrator for international trade compliance. Assist as a subject matter expert supporting training and education on foreign and domestic export related matters, in particular on jurisdiction & classification, data & services export authorization reviews and public domain/release determinations. Maintain awareness of changing export control laws and regulations and provides analysis regarding applicability and impact to company products and technologies, as well as existing company export policies and procedures. Respond to inquiries from U.S. Government reviewers and assists in resolution of application related issues. Participate in international trade compliance audits and assessments, including implementation of corrective actions. Ensure full compliance for export transactions, including export license determination, shipper's letter of instruction, filing of electronic export information and all Company trade compliance policies and procedures. Conduct CSL (Consolidated Screening List) Searches at various points along the sales/shipment/collections cycle of international orders. Work with various functional areas to facilitate product imports and exports. Prepare import/export related documentation including Commercial invoices and required shipping documentation. Interface with freight forwarders and customs brokers to process import and export shipments, resolve shipment delays, and provide logistics support/traceability. Submit required customs filings for international shipments. Submit post-entry amendments to U.S. Customs, e.g., protests, voluntary tenders, or supplemental information letters. Communicate effectively with internal and external customers in regard to import/exports shipments. Review shipping documents to ensure complete compliance with US Customs and other governmental agencies regulations. Ensure that all mandatory fields in the shipping documents are completed and accurate. Create and maintain shipment files. Maintain customer service levels to meet business goals and objectives.

**Secondary Role:**

Provide timely and professional customer service by supporting our Sales Application Engineers with general requests. Support the order shipping process. Support the order entry process. Assist with the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process. Log customer complaints as required. Support the quotation process. Generate and complete reports as required. Document work related processes in the Conax Technologies Wiki. Exemplifies core values of integrity, commitment, innovative thinking, customer service, and teamwork. This job operates in an office setting and requires occasional walking, with some filing required along with the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and filing cabinets.

**Education:**

* High School Diploma or equivalent

* Associates Degree (preferred)

* 3-5 years of experience in international trade with strong knowledge in trade regulations.

* Must have functional knowledge of the US governments international trade regulations.

* Experience with international business and customs compliance activities globally, as well as, free trade agreements (FTA), Rules of Origin (ROO)/Country of origin (COO) certifications, Incoterms, Return Merchandise Authorizations is preferred
