MAINTENANCE & CUSTODIAL CARE JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY: Maintenance and Custodial Care is in charge of performing ongoing facility maintenance and keeping areas clean, orderly, and safe.
Pay Range: $19-$20 an hour (Pay information will vary depending on relevant experience for the position)

TERMS/HOURS: Part-Time
CLASSIFICATION: Hourly/Non-exempt
WORK AUTHORIZATION: US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to all safety measures to protect company assets and employees.
- Maintains property, equipment, grounds, and other assets in an acceptable state of repair.
- Stock adequate cleaning materials and equipment to avoid shortages and excesses.
- Empties trash and recycling containers and puts them back in their appropriate places.
- In charge of set up, cleaning, and breakdown for events held at the farm.
- Regularly inspect/walkthrough all farm buildings and report building maintenance issues to Executive Assistant.
- Makes sure maintenance issues are followed through with and completed and give status reports to Executive Assistant.
- Pressure wash and clean heavy equipment after use.
- Clean door jams.
- Clean glass greenhouse windows and floors, inside and outside.
- Clean bathroom thoroughly at least once a week. Clean toilet, sink, mirrors, wall, floor, etc.
- Sanitize produce bins weekly.
- Clean outdoor kitchen including ash from pizza over and grill.
- Assists with larger farm activities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of general maintenance tools, supplies and equipment, safety equipment, and the ability to train others in their appropriate use.
- Ample technical skills to run, operate, and assess technical aspects of machinery, equipment, and buildings.
- Ability to lift and transport heavy equipment, conduct routine inspections, and have a hands-on approach to maintenance management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safety policies and procedures
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- Two years of related experience
- Experience in preventative maintenance programs and janitorial/housekeeping procedures.
SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS:
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Farm outdoors and inside Greenhouse and other structures. Safe environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, crouch, kneel, and sit for extended periods during the day.
- Regularly use hand to reach; ability to talk and hear.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions.
