**General Description** **of work**

**Custodial Duties:**

- Ensure all office spaces are vacuumed weekly and more often as needed.

- Ensure all program areas (i.e. Chapel, classrooms, nursery, multipurpose room) are cleaned, prepped, and vacuumed each day before/after program use.

- Clean and sanitize nursery equipment, table, cabinets, etc. (weekly).

- Clean windows and glass on a weekly basis and as needed.

- Arrange tables and chairs for various meetings and functions per the direction of Corps Officers.

- Trash: Collect trash from each receptacle as needed and dispose trash in large trash bins. Ensure large trash bins are set curbside every Monday at the end of the day.

- Mop hard floors, clean commodes and urinals, the restrooms daily and as needed.

- Ensure that paper product dispensers are continually stocked with product. Place cleaning and paper product orders through designated personnel.

- Make minor repairs (E.g. Paint touch-up, patch walls, change light bulbs/fixtures, reset garbage disposal, and other light handiwork).

- Escort and be liaison between contractors/vendors and the Corps Officers.

**Additional and Seasonal Duties:**

(Mainly November to December up to an additional 15 hrs/week)

- General support to Christmas Red Kettle, Food, and Toy drives.

- Taking out and retrieving red kettles and kettle workers.

- Taking out and retrieving food and toy donation bins.

Assist with set-up and tear-down at special events and functions.

**Qualifications for** **Support Staff position**

- Must be able and comfortable to drive a full-size cargo van and pick-up donated food items from stores and individuals during the Christmas Season and other times as needed.

- Must be trustworthy.

- Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.

- Must possess the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

- Must have a pleasant disposition.

- Must be in good mental and physical health possessing the ability to lift 70 pounds or more.

- Maintain and manage a safe working environment.

- Must be able to work well with others.
