Job Description:

One of the largest U.S. based companies in their industry is looking for an accounting professional! The company provides proprietary systems that streamline services for vendors across the U.S.

The corporate accounting manager is responsible for intercompany consolidations, fixed asset modules, month end close, corporate cash flow, created reports in excel using pivot tables, and oversees one staff accountant.

Title: Corporate Accounting Manager

Salary: $130,000-$145,000

Location: Norwalk, CT (1-2 days remote)

Responsibilities:

  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts for Corporate and Subsidiary companies
  • Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
  • Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
  • Prepare financial management reports
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closes are completed and work with subsidiary companies to ensure compliance
  • Consolidate commentary for the consolidated entities for review by the Corporate Controller, VP Finance and CFO
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and review accounts for accuracy for subsidiary companies
  • Book required journal entries in accordance with properly executed schedules
  • Review monthly closing schedules for benefits, payroll, debt and prepaids for the Corporate ledger
  • Financial audit preparation and coordinate the audit process
  • Ensures accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses by means of reviewing key calculations and accruals at subsidiary companies
  • Reconciles and analyzes on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments, and future revenues

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Accounting
  • 6-10 years corporate/private accounting experience
  • Knowledge of US GAAP Principles
  • Proficient in Excel
  • ERP System, Oracle/SAP or similar is preferred
