Location: Lockport,NY, USA
Responsible to represent the Lockport site regarding the construction, startup, and operation of the new eMotor line. Work is performed in a team environment, consisting of daily interactions with OEM s, installation contractors, Plant Engineering, Process Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and a multitude of others, to successfully launch. Work will be performed mostly in a factory environment, where initiative, creativity, and teamwork are essential for success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, controls engineers, and contract engineering resources to review and give input to control designs for all equipment.
Participate in periodic design review meetings for all systems
Participate in safety g-Risk and g-Comply activities as part of the cross functional group
Assist the plant in the generation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Lockout documentation
Travel to and participate in equipment runoff activities at equipment supplier locations
Collaboration with the Operations and Maintenance teams on program deliverables
Review PFMEA s and Manufacturing Technical Specifications
Participate in plant equipment install / power-up/commissioning activities
Provide technical direction to and oversight of outside vendors
Assure all installed equipment complies with site cybersecurity policies
Participate in the design and placement of all programming terminals, Human Machine Interfaces, and Graphical User Interfaces.
Assure all installed equipment is properly integrated to the site GPM&C systems
Track completion of controls open issues for launch deliverables
Able to travel periodically for training and off-site reviews
Work collaboratively with plant and contract skilled trade and production operators
