We are seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent to join our team. The Commercial Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of commercial construction projects, including multi-family and non-residential projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards ofquality and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all on-site activities, including scheduling, coordination, and supervision of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and building codes throughout the construction process.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control measures to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential issues or delays, implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess work quality, progress, and adherence to project timelines.
- Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed of project status, milestones, and any changes or updates.
- Provide leadership and direction to on-site personnel, fostering teamwork and a positive work culture.
- Manage project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and as-built drawings.
- Ensure proper maintenance and care of equipment and tools on-site.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Superintendent or similar role in commercial construction.
- Steel frame or wood frame construction experience
- Thorough knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire on-site teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- OSHA certification and knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
