Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent to join our team. The Commercial Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of commercial construction projects, including multi-family and non-residential projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards ofquality and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all on-site activities, including scheduling, coordination, and supervision of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and building codes throughout the construction process.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control measures to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential issues or delays, implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess work quality, progress, and adherence to project timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed of project status, milestones, and any changes or updates.
  • Provide leadership and direction to on-site personnel, fostering teamwork and a positive work culture.
  • Manage project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and as-built drawings.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and care of equipment and tools on-site.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Superintendent or similar role in commercial construction.
  • Steel frame or wood frame construction experience
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire on-site teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • OSHA certification and knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
