Summary
Our client is a well established Long Island based company with nearly 30 years of local operation in diverse markets including Residential, Medical, Retail/Commercial, and Self Storage. Thanks to their proven success and continued growth plans, they are looking for an experienced Estimator to join the team.
Responsibilities
- Identify new project leads through various resources
- Create and maintain project bid lists
- Create formal project proposals
- Maintain bid and project spreadsheets throughout
- Assist project managers and other stakeholders with qualifying subcontractor proposals
- Complete bid checklist while working with PMs and owners
- Sit in on subcontractor and project status meetings to provide expertise
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Construction Estimating experience
- Familiarity with Estimating software like Onscreen Takeoff
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with subcontractor qualifying process
