- High School Diploma or equivalent
Work Experience:
- Preferably 1 year of experience in a similar role
Job Duties:
- Monitor and control electronic computer and peripheral electronic data processing equipment to process business, scientific, engineering, and other data according to operating instructions.
- Follow and understand instructions for development of final copy materials on word processing/computer equipment. Proofread and correct documents.
- Possess knowledge of business English, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and arithmetic. Must have proficiency in Office Suite software packages and the ability to learn new software within a reasonable time frame.
- Answer phones, schedule meetings, and assist Managerial IT staff as needed.
- Develop graphs, spreadsheets, charts, web pages, etc.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with web development tools and platforms is a plus.
Misc. Information:
- Shift Days/Times: Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 5:00 pm.
- Parking: OGS provides paid parking in Albany. Street parking and private garage parking available in New York City.
- Public transportation: CDTA provides bus service in Albany, MTA NYCT provides bus and subway service in New York City.
