Arc Herkimer is looking for Clubhouse Attendant for the MV Golf and Event Center. The Club House Attendant creates a positive experience byassisting members and guests with club house and pro shop services and with golf carts. This position is seasonal, part time. The season is anticipated on ending in October.

Job duties (including but not limited to):

* Assist with the overall upkeep of the clubhouse and pro shop.

* Assist the Head Golf Professional in the setup and execution of golf tournaments and outings.

* Provide courteous service to all guests and maintain good public relations with golfers.

* Acknowledge and greet all members and guests, providing instruction on proper cart handling and loading clubs on the golf carts as needed.

* Maintain the golf cart fleet by performing duties including but not limited to: washing or detailing carts daily, stocking cart amenities (pencils, scorecards, tees, cooler, etc.), removing trash after each use, ensuring proper fuel or power to carts, inspecting each cart for mechanical problems as it is to be taken out, counting and securing all carts at closing, reporting all mechanical problems (including brakes, tires, bag straps, steering, etc.) to the Head Golf Professional.

* Maintains the range in proper condition by performing duties including: ensuring an adequate level of range balls, collecting, cleaning or delivering balls, rotation of mats, tee alignment, trash removal, greasing fittings, perimeter Golf ball picking, culling of cracked or damaged range balls.

* Support business operations though scheduling tee times, resolving customer concerns and selling merchandise.

* Monitor the practice green and/or driving range for proper usage.

* Communicate and enforce all golf course etiquette, rules, and policies.

* Responsibly and accurately handle cash and or credit cards.

* Assist in educating players regarding course policy and current cart policy

* May direct start of play.

* Maintain accurate records of golfers renting carts.

* May be required to assist wait staff, chef, and bartender.

* Assist with food and beverage activities as needed.

* Perform general housekeeping duties inside/outside clubhouse.

* Must be able to work a flexible workday and or weekends.

* Undertake other duties, responsibilities, and projects as may be required by supervisor.

Position requirements:

* High School Diploma/GED preferred.

* O ne year golf course experience preferred.

* One year retail experience preferred.

* One year customer service experience preferred.

The position you are applying for requires the employee, after training by Arc Herkimer, to be able to physically assist consumers in walking, standing up, sitting down, and/or toileting and bathing. To do so, employees are required to be able to bend, stoop, sit, stand, and lift. Intermittent but regular, moderate physical exertion will be required in connection with positioning, lifting, transferring, and otherwise assisting individuals.

The employee is also required, with assistance by Arc Herkimer, to obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid, and S.C.I.P (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention) certifications. The employee is required to be able to physically intervene with a consumer when necessary using approved S.C.I.P. techniques.
