JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health, Mental Health Services, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing oversight for the day to day operation of the Mental Health clinic. This position oversees services provided in Mobile Crisis, Community Oriented Recovery and Empowerment and mobile unit.

The ideal candidate will use their knowledge of the healthcare industry to oversee medical treatment, handle employee relations and effectively direct and motivate staff. This position will regularly provide support for supervising, directing, training and coaching staff and effectively communicate with medical staff as a liaison to medical facilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides Supervision to program staff and ensures clinic deliverables are met.
  • Will have a small caseload
  • Ensures quality of the program and compliance with regulations through ongoing chart reviews and day-to-day clinical oversight of the clinic
  • Facilitates weekly team meetings, monitors, updates, and distributes high-risk lists weekly
  • Monitors and updates admissions and discharges
  • Oversees all incidents to ensure the reporting of all incidents according to Justice Center/Office of Mental Health regulations and chairs incident review committee meetings.
  • Has a caseload of clients to provide ongoing therapy, conducts assessment/reassessments of client service needs and priorities; (develops (in conjunction with the client) appropriate treatment plans based on an assessment), and administer appropriate behavioral interventions as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed
  • Case conferencing with other providers to determine goals/objectives, activities, and who will perform needed tasks related to mental health issues for the client and family
  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly statistics with expected deliverables
  • Assists with the completion of reports
  • Creates/forms linkage agreements with potential referral sources.
  • Supervises/Coordinates interns as part of our Clinical Internship Program
  • Reviews all alerts in ECR daily.
  • Works toward key performance indicators
  • This position provides direct on-site supervision

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • MINIMUM: Three (3) years supervisory experience preferred, strong clinical knowledge required
  • Proven experience understanding and demonstrated ability to generate revenues for clinical services.
  • Experience with Medicaid/manage care and other types of client billings.
  • Experience working in the community and knowledge of community resources.
  • Strong written and oral communication skill is necessary.
  • Must be reliable and consistent with attendance and punctuality to work.
  • Knowledge of Office of Mental Health regulations is required.
  • Knowledge of Evidenced Based Practices (Seeking Safety, Motivational Interviewing, Health Belief Model, CBT)*

EDUCATION : MINIMUM: Masters of Social Work or related field.

LICENSURE: LCSW Required

CERTIFICATION: SIFI, preferred
