**Job Summary:**

The Department of Facilities Management and Development at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Cleaner. The successful candidate will:

* Use mops, brushes, detergents, floor machines, and other cleaning equipment.

* Mop floors, clean walls, corridors, stairwells, partitions, windows, doors, etc.

* Use manual and mechanical equipment, strips, and refinish floors, vacuum, and shampoo carpets.

* Pick up and removes hazardous articles, which may be on floors and walls. Place them in suggested receptacles or appropriate places.

* Use hand-operated equipment, clean all environmental surfaces.

**Required Qualifications:**

* Must be able to perform medium to heavy physical labor.

* Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

Variable Days; 6:00am to 2:30pm
