**Job Summary:**

The Department of Environmental Services at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Cleaner (Evenings). The successful candidate will:

* Use mops, brushes, detergents, floor machines, and other cleaning equipment to wash floors, walls, corridors, stairwells, partitions, windows, doors, etc.

* Use manual and mechanical equipment, to strip and refinish floors, and vacuum and shampoo carpets; use hand-operated equipment; cleans all environmental surfaces.

* Pick up and remove hazardous articles which may be on floors and walls, and place them in suggested receptacles or in appropriate places.

**Required Qualifications:**

* There are no education or experience requirements for this position.

* Must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position (medium to heavy physical labor) and understand and carry out written and oral instructions.

Days Variable; 3:00pm to 11:30pm
