Job Description:

Avetix Group are partnered with a global company who are looking to add a CSO to their team. This role does require the successful candidate to be able to do a minimum of 6 months a year in China, and speak business level Chinese fluency.

Job Summary:

As the Chief Scientific Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading our scientific research initiatives. This role involves providing strategic direction, overseeing R&D projects, and ensuring innovative solutions in the fields of molecular biology, mRNA, proteins, and gene editing, ect.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for integrating the company's biomedical research projects, ensuring the synergistic progression and effective integration of various research initiatives.
  • Lead and drive the development of new products and services, ensuring the company maintains a leading position in areas such as molecular biology, mRNA, proteins, and gene editing.
  • Develop and execute the company's research and development strategy, ensuring projects meet high-quality and efficient R&D standards.
  • Collaborate with the team to facilitate teamwork, ensuring the efficient operation of the scientific team.
  • Work closely with other departments, including but not limited to marketing, production, quality management, to ensure alignment between R&D projects and the overall company strategy.
  • Supervise the R&D team, providing professional support and guidance, ensuring project progress aligns with plans and expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in biomedical or related fields, with relevant R&D experience.
  • Strong R&D background and experience in molecular biology, mRNA, proteins, gene editing, or related fields.
  • Excellent team leadership and management skills, capable of inspiring innovation and collaboration within the team.
  • Outstanding communication skills, able to effectively coordinate and drive cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Business acumen, capable of aligning scientific R&D with the company's business objectives.
  • Prior experience in the CRO industry is advantageous.
