JK Executive Strategies is proud to partner with a well-established comprehensive behavioral health organization in search of a Chief Human Resources Officer to join its team! As a pivotal member of health center s leadership team, the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) will play a fundamental role in driving the organization's mission forward. Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President & COO, the CHRO will lead the development and execution of human resources strategies, ensuring alignment with the company's overarching goals. This role demands a seasoned professional with a strategic mindset, adept at fostering a culture of growth, innovation, and inclusivity. In this pivotal role, the CHRO oversees key HR personnel, including the Human Resource Director, Talent Acquisition Director, Director of Engagement & Retention, and other HR staff as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in developing short and long-term strategic Human Resources objectives and ensure their implementation.
  • Supervise the development and maintenance of company policies and procedures, recommending HR policies and objectives.
  • Recommend employee relations practices to foster positive employer-employee relationships and high employee morale.
  • Identify legal requirements and government regulations affecting HR functions, ensuring compliance and managing associated risks.
  • Direct organizational planning, including structure evaluation, job design, and people-power forecasting.
  • Lead organizational development efforts, particularly in succession planning.
  • Establish wage and salary structures, pay policies, benefit programs, and safety initiatives.
  • Define recruiting and placement practices, providing necessary education and materials to management and employees.
  • Oversee the implementation of HR programs, monitoring for effectiveness and resolving discrepancies.
  • Coordinate external HR resources, such as consultants and training specialists.
  • Conduct ongoing evaluation of HR policies, programs, and practices, keeping management informed of developments.
  • Prepare and maintain necessary reports and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Communicate significant issues affecting objectives and address inadequacies in line management.
  • Ensure tracking of mandatory employee trainings and maintain an active recruitment program.
  • Participate in the annual strategic planning process and undertake additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, with preference for a Master's degree or specialized training.
  • Minimum five years' progressively responsible management experience in HR or training/educational systems.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credential preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws and regulations, and trends in human capital management.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing human capital strategies that drive business results.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, government agencies, and employees.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decision-making in compliance with all regulations.
  • Experience managing and developing a high-performing HR team.
  • Experience leading an organization of > 1000 employees.

Salary Range

  • $150,000-$175,000
