We're Looking for an MD, Finance & Business Administration:

The MD, Finance & Business Administration will be responsible for business services and accounting operations, financial reporting, controls, and compliance, financial and productivity metrics and analysis, revenue operations and analytics, and for providing direction to the finance team. In addition, the MD, Finance & Business Administration will have oversight across our other operational functions, including Human Resources, IT, Legal, and Office Operations.

We re looking for a natural in building and maintaining relationships in financial and tech environments. The ideal candidate will be a driver of the process, accountability, customer engagement, and strategy. This will be driven by a proven ability to plan and execute scalable strategies, superior client management and escalation skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years experience in a senior management role ideally with both external audit and in-house financial management experience gained in a high-growth organization
  • Minimum 5 years of strategic executive experience being part of a leadership team working with a founder in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Be a key member of InRhythm s leadership team with prior experience in leading all aspects of Finance and Administration for a fast-growing professional services firm.
  • Strong familiarity with the consulting industry
  • Proven track record of success in facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
  • Strong client-facing and negotiating skills in negotiating MSA and SOWs
  • Superior management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers
  • Self-reliant, good problem solver, results-oriented
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical finance and administration initiatives.
  • Excellent Excel modeling skills, and knowledge of QuickBooks, Salesforce, and other Cloud Finance ERPs
  • Ability to operate as an effective tactical as well as a strategic thinker
  • Prior experience with M&A
  • Strong experience being hands-on and being part of the leadership team for a fast-growing Tech Professional Services company
  • Business or Accounting degree mandatory, a master s in business administration is preferred
  • CPA preferred

What Makes You Stand Out:

1. Business Intelligence & Financial Strategy

  • Help manage all practices, P&L, and profitability. Help launch new practices
  • Lead and control all aspects of financial planning, oversight of payroll and compensation, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters with a heavy focus on creating a culture of meritocracy driven by KPIs and metrics.
  • As part of the leadership team, work closely with the leadership team to define products and pricing, create P&L by practice areas and participate in quarterly and annual priorities based on the performance of practices.
  • Help prioritize and budget key initiatives to ensure adequate capital for company growth by planning financial strategies and alternatives
  • Manage cash flow and provide timely communications regarding future cash projections and requirements
  • Lead the finance teams to provide financial support for the organization through processes of forecasting, reporting, business modeling, and decision support

2. Mergers and Acquisitions due diligence experience

  • Help acquire new consultancies and manage the process
  • Help build relationships with investment banks for manage the process

3. Financial and Business Operations with strong bias for Automation:

  • Coach/manage/lead all functions relating to finance and accounting and direct daily activities. Create a culture of strong margins, data-driven decision making, strong KPIs with scorecards and dashboards, and a culture of meritocracy driven by performance and goals.
  • Manage and own all platforms (PSA, ATS, Salesforce) automation and ensure all data integrity is being met, inclusive of vendor license negotiations
  • Ensure that all expenditure is controlled, challenged, and minimized via appropriate use of systems, continuous process improvement, and commitment to quality and investments in technology
  • Develop strong internal and financial controls, information systems, reporting systems, and analytic tools that effectively help top management and other key executives to understand, manage and grow the business
  • Lead and execute all financial functions; oversee internal and external financial and accounting system controls and standards and ensure timely financial and metric reporting
  • Create clear process rhythms around financial closings for the month, quarter, and annual.
  • Directly interface with customers and employees on all aspects related to finance and billing.
  • Develop effective relationships with external auditors and tax advisors, legal advisors, Board members, investors, bankers and financial analysts
  • Bring creative thinking and possess a strategic outlook, with a focus on organizational efficiency and operational effectiveness
  • Make sure all consultant, events and HR spend is reviewed, budgeted and approved
  • Manage all banking relationships and represent the organization externally as necessary.

4. Legal & HR:

  • Oversee all aspects of Legal and HR
  • Revisit and update all employment, consultant and client legal terms of contracts from the perspective of cash flow and retention
  • Negotiation and manage all vendor license agreements and contracts
  • Office & IT Administration
  • Identify opportunities for process and office management improvements, and design and implement new systems.
  • Control the inventory of IR equipment and oversee the IT budget to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Design, develop, implement office and IT policies and procedures that align with the organizational need.

5. Leadership & Communication:

  • Contribute to the development of strategic goals and objectives as well as the overall management of the organization.
  • Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping management informed of all critical issues on time.
  • Bring creative thinking and possess a strategic outlook, with a focus on organizational efficiency and operational effectiveness

The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
