The Westchester County Department of Laboratories & Research is recruiting for a Chief Administrator to direct all administrative, financial affairs, and facilities management of the department. Responsibility includes management of the department s facility, effectiveness of operations, budget, payroll/personnel functions, contract management, financial reporting, grants management, regulatory compliance. The incumbent acts as administrative advisor to the Medical Examiner and maintains significant contact with key managerial personnel within the department as well as other County departments, State and Federal agencies.
Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To:
Requirements: A Bachelor's degree* and eight years of experience in accounting, public administration, budget or personnel administration, in a laboratory or health care setting, five years of which must have been in an administrative, managerial or supervisory capacity.
Substitution: Satisfactory completion of a Master's degree* in Hospital, Public or Business Administration, or a closely related field, may be substituted for two years of the required general laboratory experience. There is no substitution for the administrative, managerial or supervisory capacity experience.
