Our team provides program and project management, compliance, grant management, subject matter expertise and disaster recovery solutions needed to help government agencies affect positive change.The Caseworker Manager will provide leadership, guidance and support to all casework activities and casework services teams. Caseworker Manager will provide continuous management of casework referral status and engage in daily activities with program management and NYC Health & Hospital HERRC leadership teams. Caseworker Manager will support casework staff to help asylum seekers transition out of the city's supportive housing and resettlement services. The Casework Manager will provide and oversee on-site and remote casework services to ensure compliance and quality of services.Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides management of all casework statuses and referral services.
  • Support casework staff to help asylum seekers transition out of the city's supportive housing and resettlement services.
  • Provide supervision of caseworker supervisors and monitor daily activities, and performance.
  • Ensure data entry is completed daily and correctly entered to NYC Health & Hospitals case management system.
  • Assign caseloads and work schedules.
  • Review and approve assessments, service plans and case notes.
  • Ensure daily case management coverage and monitor attendance.
  • Help coordinating interpretation and translation services.
  • Provide on-the-job training and ongoing training.
  • Recommend procedural / process improvement to improve upon the delivery of services.
  • Maintain participant records in accordance with professional standards, project, and funding source requirements.
  • Develop and maintain required records, reports, and statistical data.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Experience, Education, Knowledge, and skills:
  • Master's degree in social work or other human service field with 2+ years of experience supervising casework staff in the delivery of culturally sensitive services working with asylum seekers entering the United States (preferred) or Bachelors with 4+ years of experience.
  • Solid understanding of immigration laws, regulations, procedures, and benefits/entitlements.
  • Must possess strong organizational and leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
  • Possess sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to learn quickly and problem-solve under pressure and within prescribed timelines.
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with families, collaborating agencies, and community professionals.
  • Ability to organize, multitask and prioritize duties and responsibilities efficiently.
  • Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook.
  • Flexibility required due to potential shift changes based on operational needs.
